Christmas Greetings from the staff in Kibera.

On behalf of Kibera Children Education I would like to wish Move Management, Individual sponsors, our readers,Swedish board and the Kenyan staff a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

We have had various success stories this year and would wish for more success in 2015.It is our prayer that God gives us strength, vision, commitment and passion to serve the kids in a special way.I would have done it better by sending Christmas cards, carols and puddings to everyone but I am not capable, this is the reason why I have opted to share the joy of Christmas and New year with you on this blog.Enjoy and may everyone cross over to 2015.

Vision and thoughts

As one walks through the slums of Kibera you can find laughing children, hard working people striving to make a dollar a day, motivated young people who want to put themselves through school and a community spirit and the willingness to help each other. Kibera Children Education hopes to use this strong foundation of the people on which to build a solid structured vision. The organization strives to develop the kids and youths mentally, morally and physically to ensure they develop to their full potential in life within their current social environment and beyond. This development cannot occur without mentoring which is needed in these children lives. We can only achieve this if we have a passion to do it.

Big thank you Move Management

We the sponsored children of kibera children education say hello to all the Move Management staff. Its been long since you started supporting us.You have been with us through from primary up to now that some of us are in secondary school. We want to thank you sincerely for making our education here in kibera slums possible. You have made this possible because you have been paying our school fees hence keeping us in school always.
We are grateful because some of us come from very poor backgrounds, some children are orphaned, some have their parents separated and that were it not for your support and endurance in this course, some of us would have been street children. We are very grateful for your support.
The library here in Kenya gives us a humble time to concentrate and read during the holidays. It also helps us to refresh our minds through playing different types of games found in the library that were funded by you.The games have been of help more so in our neurological and development of our psycho-motor skills.
We are very thankful for your support, just as your name suggest you have made us move from ignorance to knowledge and from hopelessness to dreams that would help us fight poverty that has bedeviled most children in kibera .On behalf of others we say THANK YOU and may God bless you abundantly.

Flower garden

At our center stands this size-able beautiful flower garden, this was the brain child of Carl-Johan Hugland who planted the flowers when he made his visit to Kenya as volunteer at KCE and left as a board member.

The essence of the flower garden was not only to decorate the KCE compound but also to teach the kids about environmental education, a subject rarely taught to children of their age in school.
